We’ve Challenged Lyrykz To Express A True Love Story Through Dancing & She Did (Too Well Actually)

Dance Your Life Away!

A True Love Story Debunked, Explained & Demonstrated Through The Moves And Words Of Lyrykz!

This true love story between Lyrykz & the art of dancing is something we could almost categorize as #relationshipgoals. Indeed, as Montreal‘s favorite street dancer, choreographer & model; the artist turned businesswoman turned her intense passion into a career in front of our very eyes.

Somebody once told me: ”Quit this damn job and go get what you want!”. Anxious & scared to go broke, I jumped from this plane called destiny with the hope to land safely. Here I am living this dream of mine, writing about another inspirational individual that had to go through the same process (can I get a round of applause for the irony?).

Lyrykz probably had the same friend that told her to ”Quit this damn job” or maybe it was this voice in her head. You know that pastor-like voice that reminds you in a serious-toned-life-changing-manner that the time is now?

”I Move Because I Got To Express Something That I Can’t Express With Words

So I Just Let My Body Talk For Me”

With that little voice in mind and a whole lot of passion, she went on to ”Quit this damn job” and started as a street dancer. What other performers would normally see as a bunch of ”Oh Wow” & ”She Killed It” from the crowd, was, in fact, an exchange of energy for the young professional dancer to be.

She would feed off the crowd’s energy only to give it back in return through powerful dance moves and emotions. It was hard for me to grasp this way of thinking since my dancing career never went further than my eternal two steps in the club (I’m dead serious ya’ll).

Expressing an emotion through body language & rhythm; crazy right? What sounded crazy to me is the fact that it was a way of life for Lyrykz and I ultimately felt like I had to capture that.

Which We Did Here

Thinking Out Loud Ep1 : Lyrykz

All of this came to life with a simple question: ”Could you show us what’s your relationship with the art of dancing? Could you express this true love story in front of a camera so we could feel it?”.

What Was Meant To Be A Challenge

Turned Out To Be An Exercise

For This Choreographer (Seriously).

If you notice at the very beginning, she was taking my hand through the stairs and beside my impeccable hand acting skills, the whole idea was to take you (the viewer) through this love affair.

The same way rappers scream ”No Pen, No Pad” before they go & kill it, Lyrykz freestyled the whole session and still hit the target.

Which she did (a little too well). See this is passion in its rawest form.

Emotions guide your steps, facial expressions, and cadence. The desire to outperform yourself and show the world what you’re made of.

When you dance, you express yourself and convey a message deeper than dance moves.

Understanding each other without words is something we’ve tried to figure out for centuries but it seems like dancers knew the answers we didn’t (when Sway actually got the answers).

Is It  A True Love Story?

For Lyrykz it’s deeper than your average ”girl meets boy” story. A passion & a dream she’s committed to on a day to day basis. Name any couples you know and I bet you whatever you want that their commitment is not as deep.

In 2 and half minutes she definitely turned me into a believer (30 seconds in I was already convinced actually). For more dopeness from this artist, we HIGHLY recommend ya’ll to get familiar with her Instagram where all the magic happens.

She also got her Snapchat game together as well and you can see for yourself @Phuckyosteez01 or get some of her precious insights on Facebook
