In the recent years, producers like Kaytranada & High Klassified had a phenomenal rise in the music scene. It became obvious that people were now paying attention to our sound like never before.

While making hits for celebrities and touring the world; they became our worldwide ambassadors. A fair question would be: Who’s the next to blow up?

Hidden in Longueuil, there’s a 6 foot something man with a contagious energy & sense of humour that might work his way to the spotlight; the man in question is MoïZ Vibe.

It seems like history repeats itself again because another south shore’s very own is carrying the torch sonically. Indeed, Francillon  François aka MoïZ Vibe has what we call “The Ear” for music!

As a beatmaker, he manages to blend Montreal’s uniqueness in a ingenious & subtle way. Montreal is a melting pot with Caribbean flavours, French music, American influences & electro music. MoïZ is able to capture all this in a a song format just for your ears.

From old school samples, hard bass, 808s, remixes & more; this Montreal beatmaker pushes boundaries release after release. With his collective called “Good Vibe People”, they promote & break talents on a monthly basis through their movement called Art Jam.

Today we will show you why MoïZ Vibe is definitely Montreal’s best kept secret (& most likely the next producer to blow up on a global scale) .

That Good Old Soul Music

Sampling is a lost art these days so it’s always refreshing to see a new school producer paying homage to his roots. You can feel the various influences that MoïZ added to this track.

A perfect mix between “College Dropout” and a groovy song from the 70’s!

When Reggea & Hip Hop Meet, This Is What It Sounds Like!

Dancehall and reggae music have been there forever regardless of what people think. A lot of people credit Drake for bringing it to mainstream culture. Little did they know, us Canadians,  were on that wave a while ago!

Unless you live under a rock, Dancehall was a major part of your music catalog at one point or another (remember them Sean Paul days)!

Jamaicans have a strong presence in Canada at large, so it wasn’t a surprise for me to see a young Haitian producer from the south shore incorporate Mavado’s voice in his beats.

MoïZ Vibe’s sound doesn’t compromise the essence of the music genre. We can still feel the rawness of Gully God’s lyrics while vibing to the melodies; this is MoïZ’s touch at its finest!

More Than Remixes, Moiz Reinvent The Classics!

For all my 90’s babies who miss the golden era of music, this talented has that fire for you! It’s always risky to touch the legends’ classics and once again, MoïZ doesn’t disappoint!

After hearing his music, we wanted to know more about the south shore prodigy. We eventually got to sit down with the producer to talk about his influences, future projects and what makes his sound so unique!
