Places like Harlem are definitely more than just a borrough, Harlem is a state of mind that dictated trends in the world of entertainment and fashion for quite a while now.

In our recent trip to New York, we discovered one of the foundation of what makes Harlem unique when it comes to fashion : The Brownstone. Princess Jenkins, the owner of Brownstone, is definitely a pioneer when it comes to fashion, entrepreneurship and woman empowerment.

We had the chance to sit down with the business mogul herself and discuss about what it took for her to open the first all in one fashion boutique in Harlems history!
